West End Wall

Roatan

Dive Site Photos

Summary

West End Wall is a prominent wall dive at the western tip of Roatan featuring a sheer coral reef drop-off and a lush reef crest that transitions into a vertical wall. The site is noted for abundant hard and soft corals, sponges and gorgonian fans and offers a visually diverse drift experience along the wall. Dives are typically boat entries from West Bay with a reef crest at about 6–10 m that transitions to a vertical wall descending to roughly 25–30 m. Currents are generally gentle to moderate and produce an east-to-west drift; visibility is commonly 15–25 m and surface temperatures are about 27–29 °C. Currents can intensify with distance from shore, so navigation and ascent planning are important, and parts of the wall extend beyond standard open-water depth limits.
