Turtle Bluffs

Turtle Bluffs is an offshore coral-pinnacle reef accessed by boat, centered on a small submerged volcanic knoll with a flat summit often called a turtle cleaning station. Divers regularly encounter green sea turtles near the top of the reef and frequent white-tip reef sharks; the site features multiple ledges, overhangs and arches with hard and black corals that concentrate reef fish. Depths range from about 45 ft at the shallow peak to roughly 90 ft at the base. Entry is by boat descent and dives are commonly drift or drift-assisted along the pinnacle sides, with operators following the reef contour. Water temperatures are typically in the mid-70s °F and visibility is usually moderate to high in clear weather. Currents are usually light but occasional moderate currents can occur, so divers are advised to stay near the reef structure and be mindful of depth and currents; there are no enclosed caves or wrecks.
