Summary
The Marson Wreck is an offshore sunken vessel lying on a moderate-depth seabed that serves as an artificial reef encrusted with colorful sponges and corals, offering a blue-water open-ocean wreck dive where divers can swim around the hull and scattered debris fields.
Access is by boat with descent often on the anchor or mooring line; the top of the wreck is typically at about 50–65 ft and the seabed around 65–80 ft. Water is warm year-round (roughly mid-70s to low-80s °F) with high visibility often 80–100+ ft. Currents can occur but are generally mild on the sheltered side, so dives are usually drift-free or on a gentle current. There are no overhead environments, and the site is accessible to advanced open-water divers; safety stops, buoyancy control, and attention to gas consumption and current are recommended.
The wreck is the primary attraction and has become an artificial reef supporting marine growth and reef fish; divers typically inspect the superstructure, railings, open holds and surrounding debris fields. There are no reported special restrictions, and the site is lesser-known and mainly visited by local operators.
