Tanjung Kopi
Bunaken
Dive Site Photos
Summary
Tanjung Kopi is a classic wall dive within Bunaken National Park where a gently sloping coral reef flat leads to a steep vertical wall with overhangs, small caves and coral bommies. The site features colorful coral and sponge growth and diverse reef life, and is widely regarded as one of the most popular, frequently dived sites in the area.
Dives are boat entries that follow the reef slope to about 15–20 m before dropping off to a deep wall commonly reaching 25–30 m. Visibility is often 15–20 m and water temperatures are around 27–29 °C. Strong longshore and surge currents are common and create drift conditions, so careful dive planning, drift-diving techniques and experience with currents are recommended; most dives loop around the wall or drift down the reef and exit back at the boat.
