St Andrews State Park Jetties

St. Andrews State Park Jetties is a popular man-made jetty shore dive at St. Andrews State Park near Panama City Beach. Large rock and concrete breakwater piles form channels, rubble piles and hard-bottom habitat covered with algae, sponges and small corals; divers follow the jetty structures and encounter reef-associated fauna. Access is from shore with a short surface swim across a shallow lagoon about 8-10 feet deep to reach the rocks. Typical dive depths range from about 30 to 80 feet. Water temperatures commonly reach around 75-80 °F in summer and cool into the 60s °F in winter. Visibility is often moderate and affected by tidal flow; the tidal pass can produce strong currents so dives are often planned for slack high tide. Boat traffic is common and recreational fishing from the jetty occurs, so divers should use a dive flag and take care to avoid fishing lines.
