Summary

Seraya Secrets is a classic shallow muck dive on a flat black volcanic-sand seabed, prized for an extraordinary diversity of tiny, cryptic species and a favorite for macro photographers and naturalists. Mini cleaning stations and abundant macro subjects such as harlequin shrimp, ghost pipefish, pygmy seahorses and frogfish are key attractions. Shore entry from a black-sand beach leads to a gentle sandy slope descending to about 30-35 m, though dives typically remain in the upper 20-25 m to maximize bottom time. Visibility is generally good (often 15-30 m) and water temperature is around 26-28 °C year-round, with usually mild, breeze-free currents. Because the bottom sediments are very fine, excellent buoyancy control is required to avoid stirring silt; occasional territorial triggerfish may be encountered near reef edges.
