Napaling
Panglao
Dive Site Photos
Summary
Napaling is a nearshore coral wall dive noted for a steep vertical drop-off and large schools of sardines along the crest. The wall is richly encrusted with hard and soft corals, featuring cathedral-like formations, overhangs, crevices and small swim-throughs that create dramatic visuals well suited to underwater photography and vibrant reef life.
The wall crest begins around 3 m and descends to about 40 m. Visibility is typically 12–20 m in calm tropical water and temperatures are warm year-round. Currents are usually light or absent, and dives are often planned east-to-west along the wall. Entry and exit are from a short walk down a rocky shore path (no boat required); divers should take care on the slippery cliff entry and avoid fin contact with damaged or sharp corals.
