Summary

Manta Bowl is an underwater seamount plateau known for its manta ray cleaning stations where reef manta rays (Mobula alfredi) and giant manta rays (Mobula birostris) converge on coral patches to have parasites removed. Coral-encrusted rocks and outcrops host cleaner fish and support a rich reef environment, and large pelagics such as whale sharks are also encountered, making the site notable for big-animal sightings. Depths range from about 12 to 30 meters with typical dive profiles centered on 15 to 25 m. Visibility is variable, often around 10 to 30 m, and water temperatures are in the mid-20s°C. Tidal currents are often strong and unpredictable, so dives are usually drift-style and the site is reached only by boat; divers may hook onto the reef or drift slowly with the flow to watch the cleaning stations. There are no caves or wrecks, and the combination of depth and currents makes the site suitable for experienced divers who can manage current and maintain depth control.
