Four Kings
Raja Ampat
Dive Site Photos
Summary
Four Kings is an open-ocean pinnacle dive of four large limestone pinnacles encrusted with soft corals and sea fans, forming a ridge-like underwater mountain that rises from a sandy base around 40 m to summits roughly 30–5 m deep. The varied topography and dense coral cover create a habitat teeming with marine life and have made it a classic Raja Ampat pinnacle dive.
The site is accessed by boat and is typically dived as a drift; divers often begin at the shallow summit (about 5 m) and drift across gaps as narrow as 15 m while the pinnacles and ledges extend down to about 40 m. Currents are a major feature and can be strong, so operators plan dives on slack tide or run them as guided drift dives. Visibility is generally very good (often 20–30 m) and water temperatures average 28–30 °C. Hazards include the potential for unexpectedly strong currents, so diving is best for experienced or guided divers.
