Fairyland

Dive Site Photos
Summary
Fairyland is a reef dive just off the shore of Anse Chastanet, an extension of the resort's house reef on a headland with rocky outcrops and large granite boulders. The reef is rich in hard corals and sponges, with numerous tube and barrel sponges covering the boulders; ledges, crevices and swim-throughs provide shelter for reef fishes and invertebrates, and divers often spot green and hawksbill sea turtles.
Dives typically range from about 5-6 m on a shallow plateau down to roughly 18 m on the outer reef slope. Visibility is usually very good, often exceeding 20 m, and water temperatures are warm year-round in the mid-20s °C. The site is exposed to strong currents that sweep around the headland, so dives are commonly planned as drift dives or by descending along the slope and drifting back; entry is by boat with mooring to the reef via a line or buoy. Because of the currents and open-water drift conditions the site is best suited to advanced-level divers comfortable with drift-diving techniques.
