Divers Heaven

Panglao

Summary

Divers Heaven is a steep coral reef wall on the northeast side of Balicasag Island, featuring a shallow reef top at about 5–10 m that drops to roughly 35–40 m. The slope has large coral outcrops, sponges and a notable swim-through cavern often called the "cathedral"; the site is widely regarded as one of the popular, frequently dived locations in the Panglao/Balicasag area. Access is by boat and divers typically descend the slope together, swimming along the reef edge, passing through the large cave and returning along the shallower coral slope. Visibility is generally good, often around 15–30 m, and water temperature is about 26–29 °C. Currents are usually mild but can run moderate at times, so excellent buoyancy control is advised; divers should be mindful of depth and bottom-time limits on the deep slope.
