Dive Site Photos
Summary
Coconut Point is a boat-accessed drift site featuring a sloping coral reef with occasional rock walls, coral gardens, sea fans and large sponges. It is known for exhilarating drift conditions and dense schools of pelagic fish attracted by the current, making it a popular and frequently dived site.
Dives are conducted as boat entries and southward drift dives along the western side of the island, with the reef descending to about 30 meters. Visibility is generally good, often 10 to 30 meters, in warm tropical Visayas waters. Very strong currents and frequent up-and-down surges nicknamed "The Washing Machine" are the main hazard, so the site is recommended only for experienced divers with drift-diving skills.
