Arco Point

Dive Site Photos
Summary
Arco Point is a wall dive centered on a dramatic "hole in the wall" natural arch. Divers follow a vertical, coral-encrusted wall that drops from a shallow reef to about 4-27 meters, with the most interesting section between 10-15 meters where sponges, soft corals and abundant hard coral growth are found. The site is popular with local operators and parts are shallow enough for snorkeling.
Dives are typically run southwest along the wall with the prevailing southward current, which can be moderate to strong, so dives are done along the wall with the flow. Visibility is generally 10-25 meters and depths range about 4-27 meters, with a large cave-like opening around 9-18 meters that can be swum through. A dive light and small groups are recommended for entering the hole, and good buoyancy is important to avoid stirring silt or damaging the reef. The site is accessed by boat from Alona Beach.
